Ariston Cylinder anode 469004 (Replaces 570439) is designed to slow down corrosion and rusting in immersion heaters. When water corrodes the magnesium, the anode rod releases electrons into the tank, forming a protective barrier around the tank’s steel thus prolonging its lifespan.
Please always refer to the manufacturers instructions for the correct application. All parts should be fitted by a qualified gas-safe certificate plumber.
