The TP9000 comes with a factory preset clock with automatic summer/winter time changes meaning manually adjusting the time is a thing of the past. The TP9000 can be set at installation to operate in either full 7 day, 5 day/2 day mode, which allows different programmes to be set for the weekend, or in 24 hour mode, in which case the programmed events are repeated every 24 hours.

For installation convenience, as well as fitting onto the existing TP9 backplate, the TP9000 comes complete with a remote sensor which can be mounted up to 50 metres away from the programming unit.

In addition to the programmable room thermostat function, TP9000 also incorporates a Domestic Hot Water time control channel which allows a choice of 1, 2 or 3 Domestic Hot Water events to be programmed each day over a 7 day, 5-2 day or 24 hour period.

A 'Boost' function is available for both Hot Water and Heating channels. This extends the current temperature period by 1, 2 or 3 hours (Central Heating) and can be used to give an extra 1, 2 or 3 hours Hot Water as required.

Optional service interval functionality is included in the TP9000, providing a customisable service period (between 28-366 days).

Question

Hello - I have a Danfoss TP9 controller which has temperature increment of 1 degree C. Are there any controllers that increment temperature in smaller intervals - eg 0.5 Centigrade or Farenheit

Answer

Thank you for your reply - Unfortunately the Danfoss TP9000 is the only programmable thermostat with the  hot water facility. Question

Hi - I recently purchased the Danfoss programmable room thermostats (TP9000), which was to replace a Drayton Tempus Seven programmer and Honeywell room stat (all fitted approx 20 years ago). My electrician has advised that the TP9000 can not be fitted as we can not get a new wired feed from the unit to the remote sensor.
My option is to replace the existing room stat with a programmable unit suitable for three core electric feed and replace the old Drayton Tempus seven with a non programmable unit - what do you recommend?

Answer

Thank you for your enquiry - Please find product page link for the Drayton Invensys LP722
www.uk-plumbing.com/drayton-lp722-7-day-programmer-p-1271.html
which can be used as a simple replacement for the Drayton Tempus Seven.
For a programmable thermostat (Mains) with the same make then

although you may want to check the suitability with your electrician. Most newer room thermostats are now 2 wire thermostats which means that the earth wire has to be made safe.
