Product Uses

Fernox DS-3 is used for removing limescale from any type of water heater to restore its efficiency. It is safe to use with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, copper, brass, PVC, ABS rubber polythene and most plastic pipework.

Limitations: It should not be used with thin gauge or badly corroded aluminium, zinc, galvanised steel, acrylic (e.g. plastic kettles and baths) chromium plated or enamelled surfaces (e.g. baths), concrete and asbestos. When in doubt check with the appliance manufacturer.

Fernox Quantomat Scale Reducers are designed to treat water with an accurate amount of Quantophos H to prevent the build-up of limescale.

A Quantomat Scale Reducer benefits a whole range of appliances including: electric showers, combination boilers, dishwashers, water heaters, washing machines, immersion heaters and cylinders.

Application and Dosage

In domestic and commercial usage the unit should normally be refilled every 6-12 months when protecting individual appliances, and every 6-10 weeks when treating the whole water system.

Packaging, Handling and Storage
The Quantomat can be installed in horizontal or vertical pipework, but the bowl/head assembly should always point downwards.

The Quantomat Scale Reducer is supplied with two fills of Quantophos H powder. Refills of Quantophos H powder are available in single fill sachets.

Quantophos H is classified as non-hazardous and is listed as suitable for adding to drinking water.
