Product Uses
Fernox Protector F1 gives long term protection of domestic central heating systems against internal corrosion and limescale formation. It prevents corrosion of all metals found in these systems, i.e. ferrous metals, copper and copper alloys and aluminium. It is suitable for all types of boiler, radiators and pipework systems. Fernox Protector F1 is compatible with all metals and materials commonly used in central heating systems.For continued protection we recommend Protector F1 levels are checked regularly (annually). The concentration of the product can be easily measured on site using a Fernox Protector test kit.
Physical Properties
Protector is a blend of inorganic and organic corrosion and scale inhibitors and biocide.

Application and Dosage
The recommended 'in use' concentration of the product is 0.5%. One 500 ml pack will treat an average 3 to 4 bedroomed house (100 litres). For open vented systems add via the feed and expansion tank. For sealed systems add via the radiator using a Fernox Injector.In single feed indirect cylinders, e.g. "Primatic" or similar, potable water chemicals must be used.For continued protection Fernox Protector levels should be checked regularly (annually). We recommend untreated or sludged systems are thoroughly cleansed and flushed in accordance with BS7593 and Benchmark using Fernox Restorer, before treating with Fernox Protector, as existing debris can damage the installation.
Packaging, Handling and Storage
Fernox Protector F1 is supplied in 500 ml containers.Fernox Protector F1 is classified as non-hazardous, but as with all chemicals: Keep out of reach of children. Do not mix with other chemicals. Do not take internally. In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water.

Hello – Please could you explain the difference between your Fernox MB-1 Central Heating Protector and your Fernox F1 Protector? Also do your product prices include Post and Packing charges.

Basically no difference, the original MB1 which was normally added to the Feed and Expansion Tank
was a 4 litre container that Fernox first launched and a few years later came the range of concentrates
meaning that they were able to supply a product RANGE that was equal to the original but in a 1/2 litre bottle. Vat is included and delivery which is via UPS couriers cost £4.50.
