The Fernox 60 Sec Protector Check strip is designed to give rapid on-site analysis for the presence of Fernox Protectors in central heating systems.

General Instructions

In order to obtain accurate results all equipment should be thoroughly rinsed with tap water after use. Prior to testing, rinse a sample tube with a portion of the water to be tested, then fill with 10 ml of system water.

1. Take a strip from the bottle and replace the cap immeditely afterwards to avoid moisture from affecting the strips.

2. Dip the stip for 5 seconds

3. Shake strip to remove excess water

4. Wait one minute

5. Compare the colour of the strip to the chart provided on the bottle.

• If the strip matches the green colour (or is a lighter shade): there is sufficient Fernox Protector in the system water
• If the strip is a darker green than indicated, additional Fernox Protector should be added to ensure adequate protection
• If the strip is blue, there is none or very low level of Fernox Protector in the system and additional Fernox Protector should be added

The test method is very simple to follow and does not require any formal training.

Packaging, Handling and Storage

The Fernox Protector Check Strips are supplied in a plastic bottle, with full pictorial instructions and there are sufficient reagents strips to perform 50 system checks.

The Fernox Protector Check Strip contains non-hazardous reagents. However, keep out of reach of children.
